AI Email Replies with Copy & Paste on Mac (No Plugins, No Shortcuts)

Not everyone loves keyboard shortcuts, and nobody loves installing browser extensions that read their inbox. There's a third way to get AI email replies on a Mac: plain old copy and paste, with a small assistant sitting in your menu bar.

The copy & paste route, step by step

1. Copy the email you want to answer with ⌘ C, in any mail app or webmail.
2. Click the MailReply icon in the menu bar. The popover opens with the email already in place and writes a complete reply: pick a tone (Professional, Friendly, Direct, Detailed) or edit the text directly.
3. Click Copy, then paste the reply with ⌘ V wherever you type: your mail app, a browser tab, even a chat.

No plugins to install in Gmail or Outlook, no extension permissions, nothing running inside your inbox. MailReply only ever sees the text you copied, when you ask it to.

When shortcuts are faster

Works with every mail app

Apple Mail, Gmail in the browser, Outlook, Thunderbird, corporate webmail: if you can copy text, you can answer it with AI. The reply always comes back in the language of the email, and every reply you approve teaches the assistant your style.
